Why Comedy Is a Great Entertainment Option in Memphis
As of March 2024 they're about 50-60 full time comedians in the city and usually 15-20 touring comics who do shows here each month.
This makes comedy a great and unique way to spend an evening.
If you're looking for things to do as part of the nightlife or dating scene, your plans can be limited. Beale Street is great for the occasional Jazz or Blues night out, but ask any local who lives here and they'll probably only hang out there when a visitor is in town.
Otherwise, most people want an evening outside of just hanging out a bar. Luckily in Memphis all the comedy shows provide the perfect balance between watching a show and also just enjoying good food and converation with your company.
